Speaking of Trials of Osiris: the mode is getting a facelift in Season of the Lost. Bungie’s addition should help curb the major cheating problem inside Trials of Osiris. BattlEye is a popular anti cheat software, and helps guard major games like Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege. Player’s names will automatically become their “Bungie name” when they log in on Tuesday - the Bungie name is the same across all platforms, and a way for Guardians in different ecosystems to friend one another.Īnti cheat comes in the form of BattlEye. For cross play, Guardians will be able to opt-in and group up with other players across all consoles and PC. Two of the most important new systems are cross play and anti cheat. Cross play and anti cheatĭestiny 2’s latest season is also getting some major systems changes. They’ll also have special Stasis perks that allow Guardians to freeze and slow enemies, although Bungie promises it won’t be as frustrating as it sounds in PvP. Like the Cryosthesia 77k sidearm from Season of the Splicer, non-heavy Stasis weapons will sit in the Kinetic slot instead of the Energy slot. Season of the Lost is also the first chance for players to pick up non-Exotic Stasis weapons. Season of the Lost contains the usual bevy of content, including a host of new Exotics for Guardians to play with. That means more activities, more weapons, and more story to keep players busy for the next few months. The biggest thing to know about Tuesday’s patch is that it adds Season of the Lost itself to the game. For the complete patch notes, scroll down. Here’s a look at the content and updates coming in Season of the Lost. All of that also comes with the usual salvo of seasonal content. Players will finally get their hands on cross play, anti cheat, a Trials of Osiris rework, and dozens of key balance changes. Season of the Lost is the final season ahead of Destiny 2’s The Witch Queen expansion, which Bungie revealed alongside Season of the Lost on Tuesday.įor players concerned about a content drought, Season of the Lost promises some major changes to Destiny 2. Two-Tailed Fox: Bungie has stated unequivocally that Two-Tailed Fox will receive a catalyst, likely a third arc rocket with a 3.0 verb, in addition to void and solar 3.0 effects.Destiny 2’s latest season, Season of the Lost, is here, and it’ll need to keep Guardians occupied for the next six months. Sunshot doesn’t apply as much because it procs so frequently, but Polaris Lance might be able to trigger ignitions every few shots on larger targets because of its potential 60(!) scorch stacks on Perfect Fifth. Sunshot, Polaris Lance: Both Sunshot and Polaris Lance now apply Scorch. One Thousand Voices: Observe non-stop scorch-triggered ignitions from One Thousand Voices as a possible new DPS meta, depending on how the numbers turn out. All of these might be sufficient to upgrade it completely, and some people already laud it in more advanced PvE content. It will still deal 10% more damage in PvE thanks to a PvP buff, and in addition to the previous enormous damage boost it received, it will now deal 30% more damage to champions and apply volatility on perfect draws. Leviathan’s Breath: Bungie is determined to make Leviathan’s Breath relevant, and perhaps they have succeeded this time. It will have to be tested in practice, but it will undoubtedly be worthwhile. It has been confirmed that it will receive the new MG damage buff but not the reserves buff.Īnarchy: It has been verified that Anarchy will indeed gain from the 20% buff to the Heavy Grenade Launcher, which may enable it to reclaim its former DPS meta-dominance. Grand Overture: In addition to the significant improvement they received last season, its rockets will now activate Arc 3.0 blind. Even with new enhancements like chain arc 3.0 blind, Queenbreaker is still useless. Sleeper Simulant: If you still want to DPS with the Sleeper and Queenbreaker Linear Fusions, this might be the best option since Bungie is nerfing all other Linear Fusions. Wish-Ender since it already has outrageously high strength following previous upgrades and will now deal extra damage. Huckleberry and Sweet Business would be good choices for mob clearing since exotic primaries also get the 40% red bar bonus. Sweet Business, Huckleberry, Wish-Ender: The Kinetic primary I am most interested in is Sweet Business, Huckleberry, and Wish-Ender because they will receive a 1.05 to 1.10x multiplayer bump.
